The Center for College and Career Readiness is now accepting speaker proposals for the 2012 National Conference on College & Career Readiness and Common Core State Standards. We are looking for dynamic, energetic presenters able to engage an audience ranging from 30-150 people for 1.5 hour sessions.

Educators and students, at all levels, national and international, are invited to submit proposals. We also welcome corporate-sponsored proposals from exhibitors that focus on and demonstrate appropriate uses of education technology to support and improve learning and/or teaching in K-12 education. The deadline for submission is midnight, December 9, 2011, Central Time.

Tier 1: Presentation is geared toward schools or individuals who are just beginning to transition or move toward the common core. General information about the standards and how to approach them will be discussed. Tier 2: Presentation is geared toward those involved in the transitioning process. How do we deal with our current state assessment while blending in the new common core? What should we be doing now? How do we work together to implement vertical articulation? Tier 3: Presentations are very definitive, research-based sessions that focus on specific initiatives.
